How is the Water VR

VR game aiming to create empathy and bridge the knowledge-to-action gap by immersing the user into the life of marine animals.

How is the Water is an adventure life simulation VR game, enabling the player to experience the underwater world through the eyes of a dolphin. Explore the beauty of the marine environment, meet its wild inhabitants, and become an active part of its ecology by joining your new family, a pod of dolphins. Become one of the most intelligent, playful and social marine animals of the planet and protect your home and your family.

How is the Water was officially selected by the oldest and one of the most important film festivals worldwide - La Biennale di Venezia - to participate together with eleven other international VR projects at La Biennale College Cinema VR 2019.

“The point of the fish story is merely that the most obvious, important realities are often the ones that are hardest to see and talk about… The fact is that in the day to day trenches of adult existence, banal platitudes can have a life or death importance.”

- David Foster Wallace

Venice Production Bridge 30.08.-01.09.

Three days full of meetings, appointments and possibilities! We went through a great development and progress for How is the Water during our time in Venice at the Production Bridge of La Biennale di Venezia 76th Edition.

Virtual Worlds in Munich

How is the Water was selected for the B2B market of the first edition of Virtual Worlds in Munich in July 2019!

It was a pleasure to be part of this first big VR festival in Germany and fast forwarded the progress of our project a lot.

Biennale College Cinema VR: a new, promising edition

An article by Agnese Pietrobon

...representing EMPATHY with HOW IS THE WATER during a public presentation for La Biennale di Venezia.

"How is the water touches an important topic that we should definitely get more involved in. I have the feeling this installation will be an emotional rollercoaster: tender and happy when we're interacting with dolphins, but physically painful when we experience their sufferings."

Thank you, Agnese, for this amazing article!

Presentation for La Biennale di Venezia.

Completely new approach to pitch our project through focus on Empathy.  "Presence Design, Interactivity, Liberty of Action, Empathy, UX Design, Collective/Individual, Experiential: these are the #VR storytelling's seven features that guided the presentation of the 12 teams." - thanks to Michel Reilhac and Stefano Tealdi for leading us all through this presentation.

CO2 Offset
for the whole development of
How is the Water

Sometimes, travels by plane, car or other means of transport are unavoidable during a development process of a VR experience. We try to keep our travels as short and efficient as possible, but still have to count with longer distances that have to be covered by our team.

To stay true to our values and actively take part in protecting the oceans, we offset every kg of CO2 that is emitted for the development of How is the Water.

CO2 Offset counter:

4,370 kg CO2
