How is the Water is all about making the ocean and its magic accessible for everybody. You become a dolphin or even a shark, to explore the ocean as a local in virtual reality.
We’ve come a long way from Biennale College Cinema VR 2019, where How is the Water’s first concept was created. Since then, prototype funding from the Bavarian Film Fund, and the selections for the Cannes XR Development Showcase and NewImages Film Festival helped us to scale up the project, and now we find ourselves ready for a fully fledged Kickstarter Campaign for our heart and soul project!
We understand How is the Water as an impact project that can bring the ocean to anyone! Thanks to our partner network of marine organisations, we combine in-game actions with real-world impact, enabling you to tend your own coral garden, while supporting coral reef restoration with IntelliReefs. We digitally preserve the ocean for future generations together with Digital Life 3D, and bring How is the Water to one youth without access to the sea per copy sold, to help spark passion and educate about the marine environment.
How is the Water is a holistic approach to evoke empathy, educate, enjoy, and to make a difference, even from the comfort of your home!
